A Mongols bikie has been charged with property damage after tensions between his mum and her neighbour boiled over.

For the last three years, Gold Coast single mum Juanita Garcia has shared a common driveway with Eva Barbaro, the mother of Mongols bikie Harley Barbaro.

The pair soon got into a feud and the situation escalated to the point where Harley was charged with damaging property at the Gold Coast home last month.

Ms Garcia also filed a peace and good behaviour application against Ms Barbaro only to find out her neighbour had filed a similar claim against her late last year.

Ms Garcia is accused of breaching the order numerous times, including sounding her horn and being noisy with a whipper snipper.

Tensions escalated in December following the death of Ms Garcia’s beloved dog Buddha.

CCTV showed a devastated Ms Garcia and her son carrying the animal out to the pet cremation’s van when she was confronted by Ms Barbaro angry about the parked vehicle.

‘Eva has walked up my driveway, circled the hearse and then come up screaming abuse while I’m still holding my dog,’ Ms Garcia told A Current Affair.

Ms Barbaro could be seen on the video walking away but returned a short time later with a megaphone to allegedly hurl more abuse.

‘She got a megaphone and came back out where she continued to abuse me for another seven minutes,’ Ms Garcia claimed.

Two days later, Ms Garcia claimed her neighbour had new security cameras installed with motion activated lights pointed directly at her house.

‘She can see into every single window,’ she claimed.

Concerned about her privacy, Ms Garcia installed a shield on the easement between her property and the cameras.

Minutes after the shield was installed by tradesmen on January 7, Harley Barbaro was captured on CCTV allegedly ripping it down.

‘It was three minutes after we’d finished,’ Ms Garcia claimed.

‘I was in shock and disbelief, is this actually happening?

‘It’s not attached to her any of property whatsoever, it’s on the easement.’

Ms Garcia claimed she now fears for her safety.

‘I’m scared, I’m really scared,’ she said.

‘I shouldn’t have to live like that. I shouldn’t have to check the security cameras on my phone when I’m driving into the street to make sure they’re not on the driveway.’

She reported the incident to police and Barbaro was charged with willful damage several days later.

Barbaro appeared in Southport Local Court where his lawyer Campbell MacCallum claimed the plywood had been erected on Ms Barbaro’s fence without permission, the Gold Coast Bulletin reported.

‘It’s a complete waste of time and court resources, and it’s probably malicious prosecution,’ he told the court.

Mr Barbaro was granted bail and received a stern warning from the magistrate.

‘I don’t know what’s going on here, but you need to be smart,’ Magistrate Vasta said.

‘In your mind, you’ve got to say, “Everything is a set-up and I could be accused of intimidating witnesses”, and all sorts of things, so just back off and calm down.’

The matter scheduled to be next mentioned in court this Thursday.

Lawyer Campbell McCallum (pictured left with client Harley Barbaro) told a court last month the plywood had been erected on his client’s mother’s fence without permission.
