Pagan’s Member Sentenced to 5 Years after Rival Shot 7 Times Roadside Assault

A Springfield man received a federal prison sentence on Thursday for his role in an armed roadside assault targeting a rival motorcycle club member.

Brandon S. Hodge, also known as “Youngblood,” 26, was sentenced to 57 months in federal prison, equal to approximately 4.75 years, by U.S. District Judge Greg Kays. The sentence was imposed without the possibility of parole for assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering.

According to investigators, the attack occurred on Sept. 17, 2022, when Hodge and 12 other members of the Pagan’s motorcycle club and its support group pursued a lone rival gang member in Blue Springs. The group forced the victim from the roadway. Several members carried firearms, and at least one individual was armed with an axe handle.

Hodge, who was a prospect in the Pagan’s organization at the time, confronted the victim alongside other members. The victim was shot seven times, sustaining injuries to the knee, thigh, forearm, biceps, buttocks, and the back of one leg. Hodge and several accomplices left the scene before officers arrived.

Following the assault, multiple participants, including Hodge, received club patches recognizing their involvement.
