All-veteran motorcycle club hosts bike run to support suicide prevention in El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — An all-veteran motorcycle club in El Paso is inviting people to a bike run to raise funds for suicide prevention awareness on Saturday.

The first ever “50-50 Motorcycle Run” is a 100 mile run organized by Airborne El Paso- The Mother Chapter. And while its called a “motorcycle run,” organizers said sedans, trucks and classic cars.

The cost is $50 per vehicle.

The run will kick-off at 9 a.m. at “Bikers, Inc.” restaurant, located at 1591 Main St. in San Elizario, and end at the patio beer garden “The Yard,” located at 14261 Montana Ave.

The club said its keeping two stops in the middle of the journey a secret.

Then at the end, there will be a raffle to win $2,500.

The club explained that the mission for the run is to raise money for suicide awareness and to fund a “main run” the club has planned for October.
